The below are previous recipients of the Environmental Certificate of Recognition Award.

2004 Recipient: Idaho Fleet Services

Idaho Fleet Services (IFS) is environmentally proactive and meets or exceeds City of Meridian Pretreatment requirements.  IFS utilize secondary containment for stored petroleum products and recycles used antifreeze, oil, and oil filters.  IFS’s Pretreatment efforts using grease interceptors, waste collection drums, spill cleanup with landfill disposal helps eliminate toxic chemicals from the sewer and thereby aids with the operation of the wastewater treatment facility.

2001 Recipient:  Micro 100 Tool

Micro 100 Tool became a “zero discharge” facility with all waste being recycled instead of coming to the wastewater treatment plant.

2000 Recipient:  Dr Lon McRae

First dental office in Meridian to use digital x-rays thereby removing the developing solutions from the waste stream and eliminating the need for silver recovery units in his office.
