The “Environment at Work” Award Recognition Program was created to recognize Meridian organizations that implement waste reduction measures through recycling, reduction, reuse, and hazardous waste management. 

The award will be presented to organizations for the most innovative recycling (reuse, reduction) program.

To be eligible for the “Environment at Work” Awards, Meridian businesses, schools, churches, etc. must be:

• Located in Meridian City limits
• Able to document their successful recycling program
• Established for at least one (1) year
• Free of pending environmental enforcement actions

Award recipients will receive a commemorative plaque, a City of Meridian pin, an award ceremony with the Mayor, and recognition in the City News newsletter and website.
