The Meridian Police Department K-9 Team is dedicated to keeping the City of Meridian and the State of Idaho a safe place to live. The team works hard every day to reduce the use and presence of illegal drugs in its community and to assist with the apprehension of dangerous criminals. All of the K-9's are certified in narcotics detection and patrol skills. The department's team is made up of three officer/K-9 teams: Corporal J. Brown and K-9 "Dutch" (top center of the photo). Corporal B. Stokes and K-9 "Tiko" (front left). and Officer/Trainer G. Scheihing and K-9 "Zena" (front right).
