November 2008
November 13 -- Monthly meeting of Mayor's Faith Ambassador Council at 4:00 pm at Meridian Police Department
November 18 -- Meridian's Promise will presents it annual "Supporting Youth Awards" to large businesses, small businesses, and individuals who provide encouragement and support to Meridian youth during the Meridian Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at Noon on Tuesday, November 18. Anyone who wishes to submit a nomination for these awards can find the nomination form on the front page of the City of Meridian web site at www.meridiancity.org.
November 23 -- Meridian's Community Thanksgiving Celebration is scheduled for Sunday, November 23 at 6:00 pm at Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene. The Meridian Ministerial Fellowship plans and implements this annual event. If your church or faith organization would like to help with this year's event, please contact Pastor Gordon Slyter at the Treasure Valley Worship Center at 887-0801.

In honor of Mother's Day each year, Heritage Auto Repair's staff offers a day of free car inspections and lube-oil-filter services to single mothers in our community. Business owner Tony Zanders has been growing this event each year and always welcomes volunteers and helpers. You can contact him at 887-1442.
